Borno - A hostage negotiator directly involved with Boko Haram has revealed that some of the abducted school girls from Chibok in Borno State have been married off for N2 000, Channels4 news reports.

The negotiator disclosed that the bulk of the girls, who are from Christian homes are forced to convert first to Islam before they are given out in marriage for a price.

The girls were reportedly seen on seven buses in Borno state, where they were kidnapped from their boarding school in the town of Chibok on 14 April.

The army said on Sunday that it had identified the camps where the girls were being held, but was being cautious about initiating an offensive against the kidnappers for fear of injuring the detainees.
