NEWS [NAIROBI]- Four people were on Wednesday morning killed after a
cargo plane crashed into two buildings and burst into flames in Utawala
area, Nairobi.
Two watchmen were injured in the incident. One was treated and discharged while another is admitted at Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital.
Nairobi County police commander Benson Kibue said the accident, involving the plane belonging to Skyward airlines, occurred around 4am.
“The plane crash landed and burst into flames, four occupants were killed and we are combing through the debris to find out if there are more,” he said.
The plane crashed into two commercial buildings.
Kibue said the plane number 5Y-CET, had taken off from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and was ferrying cargo to Mogadishu,Somalia.
